Samuel Hormiga began his sailing career in 2003 in the Sunfish class and achieved a top-10 national ranking. Since 2010, he has worked as a sailing coach across the Optimist, Sunfish, and ILCA classes. A physical trainer specialising in sailing athletes, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Science, with a focus on high-performance athlete preparation. He currently coaches the Santander Sailing Team and was part of the coaching staff of the Colombian National Sailing Team at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
